| Summary | 1) Analysis of the (chaotic) dynamical behavior of a heteroclinic cycle unfolding from a Hopf-Hopf singularity (joint work with Santiago Ibanez, University of Oviedo, Spain); 2) Study of the effect of non-autonomous and non-periodic perturbations on organizing centers with heteroclinic attractor cycles (joint work with Alexander Lohse, University of Hamburg, Germany); 3) Analysis of the FitzHugh-Nagumo equation in the context of nerve impulses – proof of the existence of strange attractors (joint work with Bruno Filipe Gonçalves and Isabel Labouriau, both from the University of Porto); 4) Preparation of a tutorial text for students in Mathematical Economics (joint work with José Pedro Gaivão and Telmo Peixe). |
