Abstract: We will investigate a two-parameter family of maps of the circle into itself, which we call Double Standard Maps. They are non-invertible analogues of the famous Arnold Standard Maps. I will present some features of this family and analyze the behaviour of their iterates. (This is joint work with M. Misiurewicz and M. Benedicks).
